Delatite is Australia’s oldest High Country winery, situated on rolling hills at the base of Mt Buller...
Robert and Vivienne Ritchie planted the first vines at Delatite in 1968, built the winery in 1982, and their daughter Rosalind was the winemaker from 1982 until 2005. In 2007, the winery was aquired by son David Ritchie.
Their approach to winemaking has been forged from the family’s history of working with the land in Victoria for over 170 years.
Today, David along with talented winemaker Andy Browning and the Delatite team, is focused on a commitment to producing outstanding wines by biodynamic principles.
Owing to its cool climate and sub alpine location, Delatite’s wines are European in structure and complexity.
A renowned and award winning boutique winery, Delatite is best known for its aromatic whites that have gained both local and international recognition and enjoy a significant export market.
In 2021, Delatite Winery were thrilled to announce the official opening of their stunning new Cellar Door and Dining space. Three years in the making, it is the talk of the town and a must on your to do list when you visit our region.
